Tourist Traps

Hi there, my internet is still working, so it's time for another blog; in honour of the city currently flooded, tonight we have a couple of pictures of famous sights in Venice; the Rialto bridge and St. Marks Basilica.

The remains of St Mark are kept here and were smuggled out of Constantinople by being covered by pork to avoid being searched by customs officials, those Venetians must really have wanted those bones...

Apparently Michaelangelo was one of the entrants in the competition to design a bridge to link San Marco with San Polo and Santa Croce, the guy who won did an ok job I guess...
