According to this it occurs only once in a thousand eggs, although I'm not sure of the accuracy, I certainly don't remember the last time I saw a double-yolked egg.

Eggs
After a great week away (photographic evidence to follow shortly), I'm back in England. The below occurred whilst cooking brunch today;
